What unique value proposition sets your brand apart from the competition?
Passion for this job. Duality between Italy and USA. Local assistance in the country 24/7 directly performed by the Travel Designer who has been in charge of the client from the beginning. Payment in US currency. All our suppliers are trained by us in order to guarantee to the client the same level of services during his vacation throughout Italy. As our Company is based in US all deposits paid by the clients are kept in a Trust Bank Account in USA as a guarantee for the clients and cannot be touched until the end of services (departure of the client from Italy) and this does not happen with Tour Operators based in Italy.

12% commission on packages including hotel accommodations and services

Tell us about a success story (and the WOW factors) when working with travel advisor(s):
We have received a request from a couple living in Texas US of Italian origin looking for family roots originated from Acitrezza in Sicily. We have set up a specific tour in that area and took the couple for an historical research at the local Archive of Town Hall of this little village to verify if some descendent of the family were still alive. We were so lucky, and we found a cousin of his. We called him and set a date. All was so fantastic and emotionally touching and since the cousin did not speak a word of English we offered our assistance for the date. We celebrated this unexpected event in a beautiful restaurant by the sea listening to old funny stories with laughs and tears. The couple was so happy and could not thank us enough for this

In light of the ongoing Covid19 situation, are there protocols you think are essential for travel advisors to be aware of when booking your brand?
The certainty for all clients is that they can book their vacation in total confidence, thanks to the fact that we are based in ITALY, we really know the best way to stay safe and enjoy the country following all the security protocols through our local suppliers, and furthermore in case of any Covid Alert type 3 or 4 in our country they are entitled a refund of their deposit .
The travel industry is forever evolving. What are some of the trends you’re seeing, and what initiatives is your brand developing to support travel agency owners and their teams sales efforts?
We can propose specific Webinar sections agreed with the Owner of the Partner Agency for his team about any topics tied to Italy and its beauty.
Why should travel agency owners encourage their frontline sales force to book your brand as a preferred partner?
We are based in Italy, we know our country better than anybody else from abroad, our team is Italian but speak fluent English. All our suppliers are tested and are of high experience. As an added value, travel agencies will communicate with just ONE SUPPLIER for the whole CLIENT’S TRIP who can handle accommodation, transportation, private guides, unique experiences, train tickets and restaurants. This means less work for them and the assurance for the clients that they will be granted the same level of services during the whole vacation with just one mediator in the Country: Dragonfly Tours Travel Designer. As our Company is based in US, all deposits paid by the clients are kept in a Trust Bank Account in USA as a guarantee for the clients and cannot be touched until end of services (departure of the client from Italy) and this does not happen with Tour Operators based in Italy. We boast only excellent reviews as per Trip Advisor results.
What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel advisors? And, do they integrate into current available technologies? If yes, which ones?
They do not really need any tools/technology because we will customize the vacation based on their needs and 95% what we customize for them is perfect from the first proposal. Our quotes already include their commission and are thorough, ready to be sent directly to the clients without additional work for them (no need to amend the program or amending the proposal or assembling the different services from different suppliers since this will be taken care by us)
When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect (ie turnaround time, dedicated point person, etc.)?
Dedicated point person for the Agency Group/Team. Sending of a complete proposal in 24/48 hrs from first request. Constant consulting.
24/7 assistance while their clients are travelling giving to the clients/travel agent the personal mobile of the travel designer they have worked with.
What advice can you share with agency owners as we prepare for 2021?
From a Market research carried out recently, Italy is by far in the leading position among those European countries willing to be visited after the Corona Virus alert is over. Italy has handled this pandemic better than any other European countries and our suggestion is to be in touch with our Company to be informed directly of the evolution of the situation.
As soon as the situation returns back to a “normal” stage, our suggestion is to start working fast on the program and book all the relevant services because in 2021/2022 in Italy we will have lots of tourists again.
