We pride ourselves in offering 24-7 customer service with our exclusive local/on-site concierge team dedicated to our villa guests. We have been offering travel specifically to the Los Cabos destination for over 35 years. What are your traditional commission structures?
We pay our travel agent partners 10% commission. Commissions are paid automatically on the 15th of the month following the arrival. Nobody has to chase commissions from us. We value our partnerships and work hard to ensure your experience is smooth and rewarding.
Tell us about a success story (and the WOW factors) when working with travel advisor(s):
Travel advisors are great at letting us know about a special occasion so that we can go above and beyond to wow their clients. We recently had a guest celebrating a 50th birthday. The client wanted the rooms assigned prior to arrival with gift bags placed in each room. Instead of just hanging a sign, we created personalized “privacy” door hangers for each room assignment. We also created custom gift bags based on the detailed information from the travel advisor. The guests were thrilled and it made both the Travel Advisor and CaboVillas.com shine!
What is new and exciting that you’re looking forward to sharing with this year’s Owners CONNECT delegates?
I’m excited to share what Los Cabos has done as a destination to ensure safety for visitors during this challenging time for travel. The destination has earned the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) “Safe Travels” designation. In addition, the Los Cabos International Airport has earned the ACI Health Accreditation. As a company, we’ve established rigorous villa cleaning guidelines. I’m also excited to share the latest new developments in the region.
In light of the ongoing Covid19 situation, are there protocols you think are essential for travel advisors to be aware of when booking your brand?
As mentioned above, our company has established stringent villa cleaning guidelines for guest safety and comfort. One of the perks of staying in a villa rental is all of the private space that is not shared with the public, including a private swimming pool.
The travel industry is forever evolving. What are some of the trends you’re seeing, and what initiatives is your brand developing to support travel agency owners and their teams sales efforts?
Some of the trends we’ve seen this year are last-minute trips and longer stays. With the flexibility of working remotely and many schools doing distance learning, a villa rental is a great way to have the best of both worlds. We have definitely seen a trend of VIP clients “going big” with their villa stays this year, embracing the appeal of a luxury vacation without shared spaces.
Why should travel agency owners encourage their frontline sales force to book your brand as a preferred partner?

Our sales agents are highly trained to help you qualify your guests to find the perfect property to match their needs, budget and preferences. When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect (ie turnaround time, dedicated point person, etc.)?
You will have a dedicated sales agent throughout the booking process who is familiar with you and your guests’ needs. We answer inquiries within one business day but normally within minutes. During travel, our customer service team is available 24-7.
What advice can you share with agency owners as we prepare for 2021?
The ability to be flexible is key. We’ve seen so many changes in the travel industry in 2020. Travelers have exceptional pent up demand for vacations after this challenging year – meaning a boom in travel is already beginning and will only continue to expand. As travel industry professionals, we need to be able to meet the demand with cutting-edge technology, outstanding service, and a positive attitude.
